A downloadable game creation system for Linux

This tool creates graphic adventure games for the Commodore 64. The user writes a script file that defines rooms and objects, writes code for the objects, and provides graphical assets. The program outputs a C64 program you can play and distribute as you like. See included manual for more details. A very small example game is included, as well as a larger more detailed one.

Suggestions welcome. I have been polishing this thing for a long time, and while I have many ideas for improvements, I sort of have to get it out there to gauge if there is any interest before continuing to develop this thing.

Tested in Windows and Linux Mint

c64 is great! Im tryin the demo nice! Will your editor allow image import/conversion? Is there an email to reach you? ok thanks!

Thanks for checking it out! There are currently no plans on image conversion as it is complicated, and there are other tools out there suitable for the task. Editing the charset directly is more the first priority for the editor. Ultimately, improvements to the engine itself is the main priority. My e-mail can be found in GAAcode.a file in the main package.

thank you ill take a look!  nice work!
